It is evident that the
demolishing of religious structures invariably leads to law and order problem, as was the
case in Gujrat and other states, which led to arson and loss of property and life.
Similarly, the District Administration, Jabalpur also faced some problems in maintaining
the law and order and no serious untoward incident did arise. The action taken by the
District Administration, Jabalpur in this regard was praised widely in the local
newspapers and electronic media. The action of demolishing the religious places is being
done by the District Administration, Municipal Corporation, Cantt. Board and JDA by taking
the people of that area into confidence and taking into account their religious emotions
as per the directives of the Hon. High Court of M.P. Such illegal religious constructions
are there in almost all other cities of Madhya Pradesh which have been illegally
constructed on the Government land. These disputed religious place can be demolished in
the same line of action adopted by District Administration, Jabalpur under the initiative
and guidance of State Government. |
