Out of the 566 illegally
construction religious place, those were selected for removal in the Ist phase whose
members were themselves interested in the removal and were ready to suport the District
Administration in this regard. These were removed in the Ist phase as there were no
chances of dispute. These demolishings were largely publicized to get wide support of the
general public in the process. Shortly an environment was created where there was no
opposition by the religious communities in demolishing such structures. How these Illigal Constructions were removed.
TBefore demolishing these structures, the 'Namaz' /
'Pooja' etc. was performed by the religious priests during which the people belonging to
the respective community residing in the area were included. The idols and other items of
the religious place were taken over by the residents of the area to be established at
other convenient place. After this the demolishing of the structure was done. At some
places certain disputes did arise but were resolved soon by convincing the locals. The
demolishing of the illegally construction religious places was done under the Municipal
Corp. Act. Of M.P., 1756, M.P. Revenue code, 1959, M.P. Public Places Act 2001. The
demolishing of these structure was done strictly as per these Acts and the decision of the
M.P. High Court on Writ Petition 2214/2005. Till date about 125 illegally constructed
religious places have been demolished by the District Adminisation with the consent and
support of various religious communities. |
